About

Braehead Community Garden is the Big Lottery funded project situated on the green space between Broom Road and the railway. It is a great place to spend time watching the different aspects of the growing season in the company of your friends and neighbours. You can also grow your own tasty, fresh, locally produced fruit and vegetables in your own raised bed.

A BBCDT GARDEN ACCESS pass gives independent access to the community garden and all events and classes.  You can then hire a raised bed to grow fresh, delicious and local fruit and vegetables, and/or hire a bed in polytunnel 4, which will enable you to grow peppers, chillies, tomatoes and more.

Membership charges for 1 April 2023 – 31 March 2024:

Garden Access Pass – £10

Outdoor raised bed – £30

Indoor raised bed – £30

There are a limited number of raised beds available to hire on a first come first served basis – once they are all taken, a waiting list will be established. SECURE YOUR RAISED BED TODAY – email .

Access Pass holders also get:

EGGS – members can help look after our small brood of chickens and buy Braehead eggs.

EVENTS – from Burns suppers to Christmas parties, our social committee organise an annual programme of events

EDUCATION – Classes offering hints and tips on how to grow the best fruit and vegetables and make the most from your raised beds.

COB OVEN – We have built a traditional outdoor oven made from straw and clay so that we can make our own delicious bread and pizzas throughout the year.
