Braehead Community Garden OPEN DAY ON SUNDAY 9 APRIL

Come to the Braehead Community Garden Open Day this Sunday (9th) from 1pm-4pm.  We’ll have garden tours, a plant sale, Teddy Tombola & raffle, a chance to meet our hens, see our honeybees in action, one of the biggest new community orchards in Stirling. There will also be lots of teas and home baking!  Membership forms will be available on the day if you’d like to join.

There’s more to BCG than gardening; we’ve an apiary of honeybees, a flock of hens for eggs, one of the largest community orchards in Stirling, monthly BBQs, gardening workshops and classes, an annual Flower Show, Stirling’s Pumkin Festival and much more. In 2017 we’ll also be opening a “Men’s Shed”, building a traditional clay oven for baking bread and starting a “market garden” where members can grow together and harvest together.

We’re as much about “Community” as we are about “Garden”; you can hire a raised bed for £64 a year (we provide EVERYTHING else – from seeds to tools to soil) or you can become a social member for £12 a year.
