Who says there’s no such thing as a free lunch?
At Braehead Community Garden, we’re firing up the BBQ and inviting our neighbours for a free burger and catch up on Saturday afternoon. There’s no catch – we simply think it’s good to get together and share some quality time.
Thanks to the Big Lottery “Celebration” fund, we’ve bought some picnic tables, BBQs and enough burgers and hotdogs to give the first 100 Braehead & Broomridge residents through the doors a free lunch.
You’ll also get to meet our chickens, our honeybees and see our two and a half acre garden. We’ll also be unveiling our new wetland and community orchard (big thanks to Network Rail for both funding and help building both).
So for an modern twist on an old fashioned street party, get yourself along to Braehead Community Garden on Broom Road on Saturday 10th June from 1pm-4pm.
Oh, and we’ll also have some plants for sale, grown in our polytunnels, if you’re interested.
But really, just come for the chat. And the free burger. Don’t forget the free burger.
We’d appreciate it if you’d share this info with your Braehead & Broomridge social media chums. And your less technologically minded neighbours as well.
